How to Make Watching Sports More Fun
The game's on, but you're not really into it. We get you. Here are some tips to make watching sports tolerable -- and maybe even fun.
1. Go to a bar
It's hard to sit on the sidelines when you're in an environment where everyone is a sports fan. Look for a pub with atmosphere: one with a crowd, shows the game with sound, and hangs team colors on the wall.
2. Great Snacks
Great snacks go hand-in-hand with game time. This is your moment to gorge on good eats: nachos, dips, wings, and more.
3. Get Curious
Watch with a friend who knows what's going on and don't be afraid to ask questions. People who love sports love talking about sports, especially when their team is on screen.
4. Everybody's Got a Story
Every game matters - whether it's a playoff clincher, an old rivlary. Players are also moving up and down the power rankings with each game played. But if you're struggling to get into something so, sports-related, most major athletes also happen to be major celebrities, so there is generally always something going on in terms of who they're dating (looking at you, Tom Brady), their side gigs, or the houses they're buying.
5. Play a Game about the Game
Nothing gets you into the game like having something to root for. We share props games about big games on the regular so you can challenge your friends, no advance knowledge required. All you've gotta do is choose a side, and cheer for your choice as the game plays out.
